Gamecocks Finish Strong in Final Home Game Victory
The South Carolina Gamecock football team ended their home season on a high note with an exciting win against Wofford. The team’s determination and skill were on full display, thrilling fans who packed the stadium for the last home game of the season. It was a memorable day filled with team pride and a great performance that left fans cheering.
The Gamecocks delivered an impressive offensive and defensive effort, showcasing the hard work that has defined their season. Players and coaches alike celebrated the win, making it a perfect way to wrap up the season in front of their home crowd. Students, alumni, and fans joined in the excitement, creating an electric atmosphere in the stadium.
Encourage your student to hold on to the spirit of this season and celebrate their Gamecock pride as the team moves forward. Whether they’re tuning into future games or sharing memories with friends, this win is a great reminder of the excitement and unity that Gamecock football brings to campus and the Columbia community.

Time to Book Reservations Home for Holidays
Columbia Airport is great, but you're most likely not flying into there. So, you'll need some way to get to Cola from Charlotte, Charleston, or maybe even Atlanta. The number one thing to remember is planning, planning, and planning!
If not, your only option is an expensive Uber, which can really damper the excitement of your student coming home for the holidays!

New Night Bus Launches for Students in Downtown Columbia
Starting January 23, the University of South Carolina will launch a new night-time shuttle service connecting the campus with popular downtown areas like Five Points and the Vista. The shuttle will run Thursday through Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., providing students with a safer, affordable transportation option to get home. Students can ride the shuttle using their CarolinaCards, and they are allowed to bring a guest along. This initiative aims to ease the burden of late-night transportation, especially for students who find Ubers and rideshares to be expensive as the night goes on.
As a senior, I wish this shuttle had been available earlier in my college career. With Ubers often getting pricier later in the evening, this new shuttle service will be a game changer for students who want to enjoy Columbia’s nightlife without the stress of transportation costs. It’s a great solution to help students get around safely and affordably while enjoying all that the city has to offer.
