Gamecocks Tee Off at Nationals: Women’s Golf Heads to NCAA Championships

Even though most of us are officially home for the summer, there’s still big news happening in the world of South Carolina sports. On Tuesday, May 20, our Women’s Golf team will be competing in the NCAA Championships out in Carlsbad, California at Omni La Costa. It's a huge deal, and these athletes have been grinding all season to earn their spot on the national stage.

Parents, if your student isn't texting you updates, go ahead and casually drop a “Did you hear about the golf team?” text and see if you can impress them for once. 😉 Whether you're tuning in from the beach, your backyard, or the couch, send some Gamecock love their way—because representing USC at the NCAA Championships is no small feat

A Game-Changing New Hangout in the BullStreet District

Exciting news is cooking up in the BullStreet District, and as a senior who's seen Columbia grow, I can't wait to share what's coming! Coastal Crust Wood-fired Pizza is setting up shop in the historic Williams Building on The Lawn, and it's going to be everything our campus community needs. This gorgeous 3,750-square-foot space is being transformed into a stunning hangout complete with artificial turf for those perfect Carolina spring days, tiered seating for casual lounging, an event stage for campus performances, and cozy café tables perfect for "studying" (or TikTok scrolling).

Opening in early 2025, this spot is about to become the go-to destination for everything from serious study sessions to casual meetups. Whether you're cramming for finals or just need a break between classes, The Lawn is shaping up to be the perfect blend of productivity and relaxation, with a side of incredible pizza. Can't wait to see The Lawn become the heart of student life in the BullStreet District. Go Gamecocks
