Bats, Cheers, and Final Innings: Gamecocks Take on LSU at Founders Park!

Just a heads-up: our baseball team is gearing up for an exciting home series against LSU from May 15th to 17th at Founders Park. This isn't just any matchup—it's the final regular-season series and a chance for our team to finish strong before the SEC Tournament kicks off on May 20th in Hoover, Alabama.

For those who haven't experienced a game at Founders Park, now's the perfect time. The atmosphere is electric, and it's a fantastic way for students to unwind before finals. Parents, if you're in town, come join the fun and cheer on the Gamecocks. After all, nothing says family bonding like collectively questioning an umpire's eyesight!

Mark Your Calendars: Game Days, Visits & Parents Weekend—Plan Ahead!

Hey parents and students! As we look ahead to a new school year, now's the perfect time to check out the University of South Carolina's 2025–2026 academic calendar. From move-in dates and class start times to long weekends and fall breaks, having these key dates in your calendar early makes everything—from booking hotels to planning game day tailgates—a whole lot smoother. Trust me, you don’t want to be the one scrambling for a room the night before Parents Weekend!

Whether you’re trying to plan a surprise visit, coordinate with roommates' families for a tailgate, or just figure out when your student might actually come home to do laundry, getting ahead now will save some serious headaches later. And hey, if you're already booking a trip—go ahead and book two... Columbia is way more fun when your kid isn't pretending you're just "dropping something off real quick."

Scoring Machine Incoming: Ta’Niya Latson Joins the Gamecocks!

Big news, Gamecock fam—Ta’Niya Latson, the nation’s top scorer at 25.2 points per game, is transferring to USC for her final season! She’s coming from Florida State and bringing major star power to an already stacked squad. If you haven’t heard her name yet, you definitely will—she was National Freshman of the Year and just led the NCAA in scoring. Yep, Coach Staley really said “reload, not rebuild.”

She’ll be reuniting with her high school teammate Raven Johnson, which means the backcourt is about to be unreal. Parents, you’re gonna want to snag tickets early, and students—this is your sign to be at every home game. And let’s be real, if she scores 30 before you even find your seat, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
